Schneider Electric PIX Easy is the very latest generation of indoor metal-enclosed switchgear designed for MV substations. The Schneider Electric Easypact EXE withdrawable vacuum circuit breakers are used providing safe and reliable operation, simple installation as well as ease of operation and maintenance.
The PIX Easy range has been fully developed overseas and is manufactured under license from Schneider Electric by Evimero. This combines the technological excellence of Schneider Electric and the manufacturing expertise and backup of a local partner in order to meet the local standards and requirements.
OSM15, OSM27 and OSM38 automatic circuit reclosers are designed for use on overhead distribution lines as well as distribution substation applications for all voltage classes up to 15kV, 27kV and 38kV respectively. The OSM tanks are manufactured from stainless steel and powder coated a light grey colour.
The product is supplied complete with an RC control and communications cubicle. The RC control cubicle provides all the protection, data logging and communications functions in a single device. The OSM has been designed for use as a standalone device that is easily integrated into distribution automation and remote control schemes using the in-built communications capability.
Affectionately referred to as ‘The Dogbox’, this unit essentially comprises an indoor (fixed) 630A or 1250A 22kV circuit breaker within a mild or stainless steel enclosure. External circuit connections are effected via roof mounted bushings. Its appeal lies in the fact that it can be configured to include CTs and VTs within the enclosure, thereby eliminating the need to install external outdoor CTs and VTs.
